Importance Of Teacher's Day:Teachers day is a very special day used to appreciate efforts of teachers in building nation with their work. It is celebrated to honor them for their efforts they have taken in their respective field which is consider as a most honorable profile.

History Of Teachers Day : Each year, Teacher's Day is celebrated on the 5th of September in India. Teacher's Day is marked in honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on September 5, 1888. Dr Radhakrishnan was India's first vice president and second president. He was a great scholar, philosopher and had receive a Bharat Ratna too. Since 1962 and the year he became president India declared 5tg September as teachers day, in the respect of Dr Radhakrishnan birth anniversary. It was done to honor teachers and gurus for their remarkable work done.


Why Do We Celebrate Teachers Day?

Dr Radhakrishnan had a strong fan following of students and students were extremely kin to celebrate his birthday. This thing was well to known to Pandit Jawaharlal nehru and he was aware that Dr Radhakrishnan will not like this directly. He has served this country as a first vice president and second president for India. Pandit Jawaharlal nehru also know that apart from his contribution to this country as president and vice president he is good teach and also very famous in his students. Knowing this he decided to celebrate his birthday as Teachers day in India. 
On teachers day students of the whole country honor gurus (Teachers) of their life. Usually programs are held in schools where students shows respect to their teachers on the occasion of teachers day.
